Requirements:

• Be a high school senior with a minimum of 3.0 GPA at the end of the 1st trimester senior year

• Intend to have full-time enrollment at a 2-year or 4-year university, college, or technical school in the fall 

Students with diverse backgrounds and high school experiences encouraged to apply. Financial need will be considered. 

In this application you will need to:

• Answer the questions thoroughly 

• Submit a personal essay answering one of the following prompts in around 500 words;

1. What is your motivation to pursue higher education and how would this scholarship impact your future plans?

2. You are going to a deserted island and can only bring five things. You do not have to worry about essentials such as food, water, shelter, internet, phone, etc. The things you must bring are a book, a TV show or movie, and something of sentimental value. The other two items are up to you. What five things would you bring with you and why?

3. Describe a significant obstacle you have faced in your life. How did you approach and overcome this challenge? What lessons did you learn from the experience, and how have they shaped your goals an aspirations for the future?

• Submit a letter of recommendation, two if possible 

• Upload your academic transcript
